SPECIALTIES & STYLE:

  Karissa has been growing in her technique, skill and creativity ever since she started. Her passion for hair and love of art, music and design has guided her to becoming an excellent and growing stylist. She particularly specializes in curly hair and thick hair and says she loves doing updos.

Karissa says she chose hairstyling as a career because she knew that it would be a great way to express her creativity. "I love that the career is always changing. There is always something new happening in the industry so there are always opportunities for education."

Her favourite part of every day is when she sees an "awesome smile" on the face of a client after she has been given a new style.

EDUCATION: Karissa was educated at the Aveda Institute in Toronto in the advanced cut and colour program. She has also completed the training course at Valentino's and has had the opportunity to travel to Dallas and New York where she attended seminars and conferences.
